MY PROMISES TO YOU
I love my clients and I fight for them every step of the way.
Nights, weekends--it doesn't matter. Here are my promises to you:
1. I will work hard, every day. Growing up, my parents taught me to ask one question at the end of every work day: "Am I proud of the work I did today?" If the answer is "no," I was taught to get back to work until the answer changed. That lesson galvanized my work ethic. I've made sacrifices to be where I am and I'm not about to stop now. I put in the extra hours and work every weekend because clients deserve that in their lawyer.
2. I will not bow to the almighty dollar. After law school I could have taken a job at a large corporation or a massive insurance company. Instead, I drew a line in the sand: I will never work for a company that places profits over the lives and safety of people. Too many have shown what corporate greed can do to the little guy. Not on my watch.
3. I will tell the truth, even when the truth is difficult to hear. Some unscrupulous lawyers will sugarcoat case evaluations, overpromise, and minimize their own deficiencies in the hopes the client won't notice. I know people are smarter than that. That's why I'll never pretend to be something I'm not. I will give you the truth--the whole truth, every step of the way.
A Record of Success
Few attorneys try cases to verdict. Real trial attorneys are a rare breed. That is why I have dedicated the better part of a decade to honing my skills as a trial advocate.
Several years ago, I participated in a simulated trial in San Antonio, Texas. You can watch my award winning closing argument here:
†Past success is not an indicator of future results. Every case is different and you should contact an attorney in order to evaluate individual claims and obtain the most accurate advice possible.
At trial in 2018, I helped a married couple with serious injuries find justice. The jury agreed, reaching a verdict totaling just over $1,300,000.†
At trial in 2017, following a disabling car crash in Collier County, Florida, I helped an injured young man find justice. The jury agreed, reaching a verdict of $1,345,000.†
At trial in 2015, I helped obtain a partial acquittal in a case where, in my view, a man had been grossly overcharged. Even when the case was down-filed, the client wanted the only justice he could get his hands on: an acquittal.
At the University of Florida, I was blessed with great success. I labored under the motto: "you practice like you play."
I treated my education like practice for the real world. When some of my classmates were having as much fun as possible, I was working... hard. Here are just a few of my achievements:
Graduated with Cum Laude distinction;
Highest grade in six (6) classes;
Dean's List Honors (Fall 2013 - Fall 2015);
Helen Gibel Blechman Pro Bono Award recipient;
Community Service Certificate (Highest Honors)
Pro Bono Certificate (Highest Honors);

National Order of Barristers, Inductee;

National Trial Competition Regional, Best Advocate, Best Direct Examination,
Research Assistant in two (2) courses, in law and business (UF iMBA);
Teaching Assistant in three (3) courses; and
Advanced Writing in Unconstitutional Sentencing, Mandatory Minimums.
In mid 2018, I led a team in securing twenty separate charges for punitive damages against a Florida shipping enterprise. You can read the Court's public Order here.
In early 2015, I helped author and argue a motion that vindicated a client accused of "obstructing traffic," resulting in a Florida state statute being deemed conditionally unconstitutional.

WHAT CLIENTS SAY
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Nick. Never did I think I would need an attorney for something I have had to go through, but Nick was more than a perfect match. … He is truthful and upfront and fights hard for you and what is right. My life will never be the same, but it will be much better with help of Nick.
